Tribute
Yeshi Lama

Yeshi was an incredibly bright, articulate and thoughtful woman. She bridged worlds - Kathmandu, London, Dolpo, and Kanchenjunga - seamlessly, treating everyone with respect and mindfulness, regardless of their station in life. She was modest and unassuming, though those of us who knew her had only superlatives to describe her intellect and her abilities. Yeshi will be missed by the people of Dolpo, Mustang, and Kanchenjunga, in particular, who saw in her an invaluable ally and a gentle spirit. She was a tireless advocate of Tibetan medicine and the doctors with whom she worked were, I think, always surprised and touched at how much she cared and how hard she worked on their behalf.
