The Supreme Court has ordered the release of three former ministers of the royal regime today. Those set free are foreign minister Ramesh Nath Pandey, communications minister Shrish Shamsher Rana, and assistant health minister Nikshya Shamsher Rana.

A bench consisting of Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Paudel, justices Khilraj Regmi, Anupraj Sharma, Ramnagina Singh, Min Bahadur Rayamajhi made the decision stating that the government could not provide enough evidence of the need to keep the three in detention under the Security Act.
