Turkish numbers

More than 5 million people travelled via Turkish Airlines in February, setting the record for the highest number of passengers for the airline. The world’s largest airline reached the strongest load factor in February with 79.7%. Excluding international-to-international transfer/transit passengers number of international passengers went up by 27%. 

Compared to February 2017, cargo/mail volume increased by 39,4% this year. Main contributors to the growth in cargo/mail volume, are Middle East with 61% increase, North America with 52% increase, and Europe with 39% increase. North America, Africa, Europe and Domestic Lines showed visible growth among other regions with 11,1 points, 9,9 points, 6,3 points and 4,9 points increase, respectively.

During January-February 2018, increase in demand and total number of passengers was 27% and 31%, respectively, over the same period of last year. Total number of passengers reached to 10,8 million. The total Load Factor improved by 6.9 points up to 79.7%, while international Load Factor increased by 7.1 points, up to 78.8%. Similarly, cargo/mail carried increased by 44% and reached to 195 thousand tons.
