Turkish Airlines continues its growth trend

Turkish Airlines has reached the highest first-half load factor rate of its history with 80.4%. That means, according to the June 2018 traffic results, the airline carried 6.3 million passengers, and almost 116,000 tons of cargo and mail. That's a whopping increase of 10.6% and 18.6%, respectively, from same period last year.

Similarly, the numbers of passengers carried in domestic and international lines increased by 14.5% and 7.8%, respectively. The international-to-international transfer passengers increased by 0.7%, while international non-transit passengers increased by 16.9% compared to the period of June 2017.

In 2018, Turkish Airlines carried 35.6 million passengers, as of June. The number increased by 17.8% from 30.3 million passengers for the same period of 2017. The numbers of passengers carried in domestic and international lines increased by 20.3% and 15.8% respectively.

International-to-international transfer passengers increased by 11%, and international non-transit passengers increased by 22.3% compared to the period of January - June 2017. Cargo/Mail carried during the period of January- June 2018 also increased by 27.7% to 661,234 tons from 517,884 tons in 2017.
