SDGs in Mithila

The postal department has issued 17 new stamps portraying the UN's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in Mithila painting, created by local women artists of Janakpur. “The issuance of the SDGs postal stamps not only highlights the UN’s effort to localise the SDGs in Nepal but symbolizes Nepal’s commitment and readiness to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030,” said Robert Kasca, UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal. However, the department has not yet fully restarted its international postal delivery.
