New IFC Director for South Asia

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank, has appointed Mexican national Hector Gomez Ang as its new regional director for South Asia. 

"We stand with the people and governments of South Asia as we continue to invest in the region's private sector despite market uncertainties,” says Ang, adding that the IFC is using climate and Covid as cross-cutting entry points.
