People in Kathmandu held peaceful physically distanced protest in Baluwatar on Tuesday against what they called “the government’s incompetence” in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis.
The police used water canon to disperse the protesters who had come together to demand better quarantine facilities and PCR tests among others.
The police use of batons, water cannons and arrests came under heavy criticism from protesters, who were mostly young Nepali men and women.
