Girija Prasad Koirala passed away at his daughter's home just before noon on Saturday after going into a coma. Leaders of political parties had been visiting him from early morning at the Mandikatar residence of his daughter, Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala. The funeral will take place tomorrow, and Koirala's body will lie in state at the National Stadium from 8am in the morning. The octogenarian four-time prime minister and president of the Nepali Congress had been suffering from severe respiratory disease for the past few years, but his condition suddenly deteriorated last Sunday.
