I do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Is it only me or does it look like a few of these comments look like they are coming from brain dead folks? And, if you are posting at additional places, I would like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Pokhreli: I watched Ms Shanta Chaudhary and a Secretary of from the Ministry of Energy on Mountain Television channel few days ago. I was happy with the explanation given by the Energy Sec but Ms Chaudhary appeared to be at loss with her answers. She kept on parroting that the agreement was not “transparent” and furthermore kept avoiding giving a straight answers (most likely she does not have sufficient knowledge to answer the questions raised!!) I am most unhappy when the committee says the project is “anti national” Why? I believe the committee mostly consisting of opposition parties are only objecting due to the fact the credit will go the present Maoist goverment and help them when the general election comes. Previous agreement with SMEC was in my mind “anti national” as the power produced would have been sold to India when our country is suffering up to 18 hrs a day of loadshedding. Subodh Raj Pyakurel: “Mr Ban is welcome to visit Lumbini any time for a pilgrimage, but without hobnobbing with Maoist leaders who refuse to fully abide by the Buddha’s teachings of peace and non-violence.” The aforesaid words are sufficiently powerful to be applied by Mr. Ki-Moon’s own conscience, authority, accountability and his responsibility. Jujumaan Nepali: Lets bear in mind that, Gautam, the putative vanguard of democracy in Nepal along with his coterie of elite revisionists,long ago,lost their credibility vis-a-vis their perrennial supply of tirade against the maoists. Now that this clique hasn’t been able to sell their prejudice-laden-impoverished-arguments, to the hoi polloi, they have resorted to ad hominem. No wonder, the maoist chair, who has been sort-of vindicated, through the ballots,has been their main target!

Raju Lama: Well said and I completely support Kuk Chandra Gautam in expressing his feelings and advice for the Gen Secy of the United Nations. Tapan Das: The only justification for Secretary General of United Nations Ban Ki Moon to visit Lumbini to share common platform with Puspa Kamal Dahal will be when Dahal will make an announcement of abjuring violence forever and change his nick name into Ashoka instead place of Prachanda. Ban Ki Moon must take that undertaking from Prachanda before embarking to that visit to the sacred site. Otherwise it will be tantamount to blasphemy.
Malla: Amazed to see cheap opinion from a person like former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations. No doubt he could not achieve his endeavors!
binu: Well, enough. Personally, i did not expect such a crap from a nepalese, former under-secretary general of UN. It was the war where not only the maoists were culprit. The state was waging a war against its citizen : to kill, rape, torture and kidnap were practised by either sides. You have so many times wrote to ‘correct the maoists’ but have you ever written about the rights violation by NA? So you talk about Madi and Muktinath but why not about Doramba and Sapana? If you have right to believe on liberal democracy, why not others have belief on communism? To forget the next side of coin is misleading. For ordinary citizens, development is their foremost priority. They dont care whoever will initiate it. Any propaganda aimed to restrict the development is disgusting. Gautam should have known it.
