The Interim Election Council of Ministers (IECM) has been expanded to full capacity after 8 new ministers took the oath of service and secrecy at Shital Niwas on Monday night.

All of them were recommended by chairman of the IECM, Khil Raj Regmi, to the president following their nomination by the UCPN(M), NC, UML, and Madhesi Morcha.

The new ministers Shankar Koirala, Bidyadhar Mallik, Umakant Jha, Tek Bahadur Gharti, Riddhi Pradhan, Ram Kumar Shrestha, Madhab Poudel, and Chhabilal Pant are all former administrators.

Ministerial portofolios:

Finance, Industry, and Supplies: Shankar Koirala

Physical Planning and Infrastructure, and Poverty-reduction and Co-operative: Chhabilal Pant

Education, Information and Communications, and General Administration: Madhab Poudel

Federal Affairs and Health: Bidyadhar Mallik

Agriculture, Forest and Soil Conservation: Tek Bahadur Gharti

Youth and Sports, Peace and Reconstruction, Civil Aviation and Tourism: Ram Kumar Shrestha

Energy, Science, Technology and Irrigation: Umakant Jha

Women, Children, and Social Welfare, and Land Reforms and Management: Riddhi Pradhan
