The Office of the Controller of Examination has published the result for this year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams. A total of 419,019 regular candidates had appeared in this year’s exams out of which 197,638 cleared the test. The per cent of candidates clearing the test has gone down by 10 per cent this year.
The OCE published the result around 5:30 in the evening at a press conference organized in its office at Sanothimi . This is a departure from earlier tradition of publishing results late at night. This year the students will be able to see the results online much before they are published in the newspapers tomorrow.
