Chinese premier Wen Jiabao and his 40-member team concluded their five-hour visit on Saturday afternon, after meeting Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, President Ram Baran Yadav and top leaders of the major parties.
During the brief visit, Nepal and China signed eight agreements. The separate agreements are on concessional Chinese loan to Nepal worth US dollars 750 million for the next three years and budget support worth US dollars 20 million for this year. Agreements were also signed for infrastructure development, cultural programs, upgrade of transit points, assistance for infrastructure development of Nepal Police, assistance for voluntary retirement of the combatants and upgrade of Pokhara airport.
Wen’s visit came as a surprise as neither of the governments had made any formal announcement regarding the visit. Security was beefed up in the capital during the Chinese leader’s visit and over 200 Tibetan and non-Tibetan nationals were arrested from various areas.
Wen and his team have left for Riayadh.

I think this drama will not run for a long time in Nepal and in any other parts of the world, this is now 21st century on run, unlike the periods passed by fooling the poor and innocent majority. Bloody Chinese regime still thinks that their politics of lies, propaganda and censoring media reports would work to hide their ugly deeds, however, autocrat regime of China can temporarily hide their rottens, but they can’t stop the bad smells which spreads in the air.
Nepal as a sovereign country shouldn’t be acting like puppets, Nepal should have their own stance while dealing with any powerful country. China’s gifts to Nepal doesn’t come without any causes and conditions behind, it is nothing unconditional gift for Nepal from autocrat regime of China. China wants Nepal to hide all it’s guilt of occupying Tibet, Nepal as historic neighbour of Tibet for many centuries have all the records of Tibet’s sovereignty, China knowing this true fact of proof Nepal has about Tibet’s sovereignty, wants Nepal to remain silent and be a yes man for China. Having said all about these facts of Chinese gifts for Nepal, Nepal doesn’t need to feel gratefulness of Chinese gift, instead Nepal need to feel grateful of Tibetans and Tibet, which causes China to come up with these gifts and supports. Nepal needs to play it’s Tibetan card very cautiously. Don’t let the snake die nor let the stick to break. Chinese regime is like a snake stay away from it’s venom, let it run by back and forth with it’s vicious plans!
