Maoists exit

Friday, September 17th, 2010
..................................................................................................................

The UCPN (Maoist) has announced its withdrawal of candidacy from the prime ministerial elections to initiate a new process in electing the prime minister.

Top leaders of the UCPN(M) and UML agreed on a three-point agreement in a meeting on Friday. As per the agreement, UML will have to stick to its previous neutral position.

A joint statement signed by UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal and Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the failure of the parliament to elect the new PM for the seventh time has worried the people, and that this process has not given a positive solution for the current deadlock.

During the meeting, the leaders also emphasized the need for a consensus government and agreed to urge NC to withdraw its candidacy in order to initiate a new selection of consensus candidates for the position of PM.

The UML will remain neutral during the election even if NC does not pull out from the fray.

Even if NC candidate Ram Chandra Poudel will be a lone competitor for the post of prime minister, he will have to secure a majority in the parliament, which is impossible without the support of UML and the Madhesi alliance.

if you are sure that you cant win, in the name of people you abandon the race. and it does work when all your supporters are fools, those who do not care even if you take money from international drug lord.

congrats to jahalanath, he is one step closer to pm post. only problem is, will UML accept support of that party who were about to sell nepal to international drug lord. …. of course they will, they are commies… all commies are fake nationalist.

but NC should not support jhalanath or join his govt.

now NC should ask advice from civil society members, media as well as try to know public opinion regarding their next move. ……….. NC may have to abandon the race…. what can we do when majority of public do not have ability to make right decision.

if there is jhalanath govt., NC should cooperate in constitution drafting and peace process from outside.

NC is the future of nepal, at least for mid term.

jhalanath may become pm, but will be the biggest failure, incompetent in the history of nepal.

51/49 chance of jhalanath of becoming pm.

but NC should not accept Moaist until they full fill their part of the agreement.

looks like prachanda has started to open his mouth again, people clear yr ears for the incoming controversy.

Thank you Mr Prachanda…. finally you have come to your senses, If India
does not want you as PM, then you will NEVER become a PM, you can bet your life on that …. so now you can exert your efforts to give up your armed thugs
that are known as PLA…. because America will always tag you a terroist organisation until you do that. As a civillian party leader, why do need your
own army, WHY ? what are you afraid of Mr. Prachnada……………………..
Because of your failures to become the PM, you have lost your power and credibilty with everyone…. now every one knows your strength, you have none.

that is the price you pay for holding the country and its POOR people hostage
you are NOT a leader of and for the people, you are a leader who only cares about himself and no one else, shame on you Mr. Prachanda, shame on you.
