Good going for Marwaris. So, they have 1 representative in the CA for each 4,000 Marwaris. Interestingly, Tamangs have 17 lakh population and they have not a single representative in the Council of Minister. All major parties, NC, UML and Maoists have neglected them. The Monarchy and Panchayat party have long ignored the existence of Tamangs in Nepal. No wonder Tamangs want nothing but Tamsaling at any cost. Although the Maoists have shown a lollipop to Tamangs, none of the major parties are to be trusted. How can they create a new Nepal and new constitution with such an attitude by major parties. The media is also blameworthy as they are willing to move ahead the agenda of the major parties and sing their praises with full of biases.

Now the contest will be between NC and UCPN(maois),let them contest.Who so ever looses must join the government to make constitution making smooth going and successful.They should be asked to make such pledge now.

THREE IDIOTS.

The coming together of three Brahmins is supposed to be a bad omen. We have 3 of them by virtue of the accident of birth only. Still going by the traditional wisdom it is inauspicious. It signals bad days to come. As they are non-practicing Brahmins they can be demoted in the caste hierarchy. Two of them are atheist, buffalo worshiper or all three are mammon worshipers.
There are 11 Marwaris in the house,out of the population of 43,971(Census 2001).They are best in management, so with other business communities together we can have excellent team for the cabinet at this stage of national crisis. So let us urge them to lead the country at this critical juncture and save our skins. Let three of them withdraw. Or at the second round let us foot the Marwaris for the premiership.

It is really unfortunate that UML decided to field Khanal. This clearly indicates that UML does not take the responsibility of not being able to garner support for constitution writing, conducting business of the house, as well as develop consensus. They have two most important post at present, PM and Speaker. That way they should have been able to conduct businesses better than previous governments. The failure to govern and deliver was not the result of incapacity of Nepal only but a complete failure of the UML party as a whole. UML under JK proved to be a party without any clout in the political paradigm in Nepal.

Instead of fielding their own candidate UML should have tried their best to garner support for NC’s candidate. If JK becomes PM, the government would be forced to agree to the maoists’ demands for the survival and this would be really unfortunate for Nepal. Under the present situation, it would be best to develop a consensus around Poudyal. Let NC have a chance this time.
