Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal addressed thousands of supporters at Khula Manch on Saturday, a day after his party withdrew the indefinite banda called a week earlier.
During the address, Dahal said the party’s movement was not over, it was only suspended.
“The six-day strike was only a rehearsal. We put off the agitation for the time being to make further preparations and to give respite to the people. We will put on the real show in the days to come,” he said.
Dahal also said the government had two days to address the party’s demands. “If they do not respond within two days, we will take strong actions,” he said.
He said the strike had not been withdrawn because of the Peace Rally held in Kathmandu and various other cities in the country on Friday. In fact, anther Maoist leader, Sarbottam Dungel went on to say that “UML and Nepali Congress gang members were the participants of yesterday’s rally.”

A desperate attempt at saving face; he’d hardly admit ” we called it off quick before numbers dwindled too much to really embarass us. We greatly underestimated the backlash from a broad section of civil society – including the poorest, who were suffering most. We also stupidly bungled by calling the bandh in the approach to the planting season, which led to those drafted/coerced into coming to the city quickly deserting us.” This was hyped up by the Maoists for weeks before as supposed to be ‘the final battle’. If so, they lost…
Shout louder, you are losing. That is the fact whether you like it or not. The Maoist are losing the support of the general public like the rest of the parties. The question now is to the people is to choose from the lesser devil. Six days of strike which paralysed and crippled the country and the economy of the people have shown how brutal and ruthless the parties can be to the people in the country. If you really want to oppose the present governemnt, block the ministers and high ranking officials in their houses and quarters instead of blocking the people from going to work and earning their daily bread. There are other ways of protests that do not obstruct the means of earnings for the people. Not all receive the daily allowance you have collected by coersion and extortion.
Prachanda is busted out by the citizen of Nepal, mostly by the citizens of nepal who were not the citizen of Nepal should he rule and define Nepali Citizen in the constitution. We are bound to truth, we are not bound to success all the time. Anyone who lives within the boundary of nepal is a citizen whether he has citizenship and those who were born in nepal and still hold faith in Nepal are also citizen no matter where they live. Prachanda should be told. If Shanta Dixit did not ask that question, then Nepal’s political turn would not have occured on May 7. Good job Shanta.
Where is Arthur? Several months back when I busted Arthur, he left Nepalitimes for several days or weeks. I could not track his post because of my busy schedule. Then Arthur returned to NepaliTimes with rhetorics. Two weeks ago, I again busted him out with the next few lines to make people aware who is this guy in real world. In this 11th hour, he left because he was scared of people knowing who he is in real world because my postings. He is the man who always loves to hide in sheeps’ skin. He did it in past as well from Israel. As he moved from Israel to US, he left his previous Avatar, and recently he turned himself to Arthur as soon as he got US Citizenship. In transition he was in the middle road so that USCIS and Homeland Security Department do not find him a communist as US does not allow communists to be US citizen. Now he is back. So, who is this guy Arthur? Arthur should be busted. DK aka Arthur aka MD is the hayena hiding under Sheeps skin. He recently got American citizenship by hook and crook as a refugee (calling himself victim of Maoists) and gave up his Nepali citizenship. He is not the first and last Maoist supporters who get US citizenship using Refugee status. He will certainly attack everyone who is not in his side. CyberLekali
SLC Fail boys know right things cannot be achieved by wrong doings but Pushe, Baburame believe just the opposite.
Once people give a system, power source or political change must be derived from parliament not by hampering trade and economics, and public life on streets.
Do you understand that?
1. Right things cannot be achieved by wrong doings.
2. Once people give a system, power source or political change must be derived from parliament not by hampering trade and economics, and public life on streets.
3. Pushe is very clever using Baburame’s Board First image and deceiving the public and Nepal for so many years. It is unfortunate to Nepal that Baburame SLC Board First man is Maoist in this 21st century. When he says we should go for ethnicity based Federalism, I feel he is the most outdated man in the Nepal. Nepalese should not be deceived by his Board First image because other 99% SLC Board Firsts do not believe on what he is saying as the right path. Moreover SLC Fail boys know right things cannot be achieved by wrong doings but Pushe, Baburame do not know this.
4. To go to East we need to go East and not West. To develop Nepal we need to focus and be disciplined on development.
This is a clumsy distortion. The Maoists did not say that the rally was a UML and Congress gang members rally. They said that UML and Congress gang members infiltrated the rally and attacked Maoists before and after the rally to provoke fights between Maoists and the people at the rally who wanted a rally for peace rather than a gang fight with Maoists. Check this link to see for yourself what they actually say.
This kind of distorted reporting has been typical throughout the strikes. It is always “locals” being “attacked by” Maoists and never gangsters attacking Maoists. Even shooting resulted in the deaths of several Maoists (and nobody else) in the Terai there were press reports that the Maoists “denied” that they did the shooting!
Instead of organising such bandha and spending more than 19 crore ruppes, Moists could have gained popularity if the amount would have spent on productive sctor for uplifting livelihood of Nepalese people. Strangely Maoists claimed they do the opposite of what other do… abnormal Maoists!
I WILL NOT WASTE MY TIME READING IT.

Any Maoist supporters are you people trying to reduce the gap of poor and the rich? Just a simple one to see if you really are there for what you say
Propagating the poor people with false hope and be corrupted will pay a great price in your life time for ages to come. Please be careful on what you say…..
Questions are all I have? Any one interested to check corruptions? and make people more responsible for their local developments …please pour on some ideas…..Maoist have been saying they are testing this and that……Are you really doing your homework to find solutions to uplift the deprived people of state’s justice and equality to all the people of Nepal from Mechi to Mahakali? Well if anyone of Maoists supporter reading this if you are unjustified of people using English that its time to change the education system of English speaking schools to make your curriculum in Nepali…ideas to make Nepalese people aware of political participation to make governments more effective would be well appreciated …thanks

Next election I am voting for FNCCI.
Prachanda watch your language. You are being too rude to Kathmandu. We will show you next election.
Root cause of the problem is political parties. Missusing taxpayers hard earn money.
The behavour of the Maoist with sticks and rods at the middle of the road. I am sure they can’t hurt the law enforcers. Those sticks and rods are for people like you and me who aren’t maoist or YCL. I am not supporting any party or govt.
Next election lets campaign for NO VOTES FOR PARTIES !!! FNCCI is great !!!
Paagal Prachanda’s dream hasn’t come true as he had dreamed of!
Jana Andholan first was different from this second one, in the first, all the party rose against the Shah regime or Gyanendra’s government, however, in the 2nd it was only Maoist against the people’s government of Nepal, which is why they are not successful, because people now understands that Maoist party is only power hungry party, a trouble maker party! If the Nepalese want Peace and Prosperity for Nepal, 3rd Jana Andholan should be against Maoism in Nepal, Maoism should be rooted out from Nepal, so the roots of the tree of Peace and Prosperity will grow in Nepal!
Down with out dated Maoist ideology and principle!
Prachanda’s dream of dictatorship in Nepal will never come!
Days of Maoist are numbered, it come to an end sooner!
Jai Nepal, Jai Nepal Sarkar!
