There is no surprise to anybody the Tibetans repatriated from Nepal are tortured in China. Further more, if they survive, their suffering is not over. They are labeled "politicaly unreliable" and will never hold a decent job, their children will never be allowed higher education and even the extended family is punished. Remember, the communists never forget and never forgive.
The Tibetans also become an unwilling tool of propaganda. The Chinese are clearly saying to the public: "if you disobey us, this is what is awaiting for you."
It certainly is a violation of human rights on the Chinese part.

Here is one thing I don't understand. I am not an expert on international law, however, the treatment of refugees is covered by Geneva Convention. Nepal is a member of UN and such bound by the convention as well. If the inhuman treatment of the Tibetans is well known, why does Nepal release them back to the Chinese ? It contravenes the international law. In that sense, Nepal is guilty of exactly the same violation of human rights as the Chinese.

The Tibetans may have staged protests agains China, but this is allowed in a democratic country- which Nepal is struggling to become. If anybody who protests anything is shipped to China, may I suggest you apply this rule to everybody, including the Maoists? It would be an elegant solution to your present political problem!!!!!!

Of course, money talks. Nepal sold out it's conscience and it's sovereignty to China for 1.5 billion rupies a year. This is NOT a friendly help to build infrastructure, it is a shameful bribe of the highest proportion. All other corruption pales in comparison.

When India tries to tell you what to do, everybody is screaming and complaining they are interfering with your internal issues. Does the Tibetan situation not represent interference on the Chinese part ? What is the diference between being a puppet of India and a puppet of China ???

Human rights not respected to other citizens means not respecting humanity in all sense, so that is why such gruesome murders of innocent Nepalese takes place from the hands of people who have power. When Tibetans protest for Human Rights near the Chinese embassy, Nepalese should try to understand that protecting human rights applies to all those who are oppressed by the people who governs and misuses their power, similar is the case of three women murdered in the Bardia National park. So, learn to protect and respect Human Rights from the core of ones heart, which means you are voicing for the rights of everyone who are oppressed by the rules of tyrants!
