Girija had ample opportunities to be a statesman but he lost the opporunity a long time back. Incompetent Deuba is a product of Koirala's petty politics and ill suited leadership. Girija chose to be a father to his daughter who never participated in any of the movements demanding democracy. This way, his daughter deprived him from being a statesman. I think Koirala family has their own definition of corruption. Sorry to say this but some people live longer than their utility.
